The Victory View

It's a fairly affordable accommodation option. The room is just average. The rooftop common area is quite chill. However, there were quite a few cockroaches in the room, the hot water wasn't very hot, the bathroom door was a bit difficult to close, and no one came to clean the room. I'm not sure if they only clean it if I ask them to.

It's a hotel and hostel with both private and dormitory rooms. Private rooms are priced around 1000+ baht. Rooms: - The biggest drawback is the bathroom, which is extremely hot and humid due to the lack of ventilation (no windows). It's almost unbearable to use the toilet. Some lights are broken and not all are working. - The window is above the bed, and the curtains don't close completely, so the room is bright in the morning. - The wall mirror is creepy; I secretly thought it was a see-through mirror (probably overthinking it, haha). - Guests are not allowed to bring food into the room. Location: It's a short walk down a narrow alley from the BTS Victory Monument station (about 300-500 meters). Close to restaurants and shopping malls.

The room was good and worth the price. The caption matched what we chose before booking; we researched the hotel's location and saw the room pictures on Agoda. We were satisfied with our choice. However, we can't choose the service. The security guard at the entrance was unresponsive, and he seemed bored with his job of adjusting the air conditioning. The lobby wasn't open, which surprised us, wondering if it was closed, even though the website said it was. The male staff member who checked us in wasn't very cheerful; he didn't smile at all. Service workers should at least have a smile when speaking to customers, but not constantly. They should know how to use appropriate tone of voice. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the service from the start. Luckily, I met the woman who was selling snacks and drinks at night. The male security guard who checked us in was nice, but luckily we also met the female vendor at night who sold snacks. Her voice was very polite; she didn't even need to smile or smirk to show her good manners in using her tone of voice with guests. Thank you. This should be my first and only time staying at this hotel.

The hostel is quite small and minimalist. The cabin-style rooms are a nice idea, offering privacy and space. However, the bathrooms constantly smelled of urine, and the staff were unfriendly. One older woman with short hair, possibly the owner, was rude and unpleasant with guests, barely looked at you, let alone answered questions—she should change jobs. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on, hard as a rock.

A pleasant surprise! Super central and quiet, in the penthouse with great views and a good atmosphere. Downstairs you'll find everything you need for a meal or a drink. Perfect for getting around by Skytrain and with good connections to the airport. The service was incredibly friendly, thank you!

Very poor dorm management. Staff ignored loud music in the dorm but sided with a guest who woke me up multiple times around 2 AM complaining about my breathing, which is not something you can control while sleeping. I was forced to leave during the night and find another hotel. The bathroom smells very bad and the smell spreads to the common area (it smells like a sewer). Staff availability and communication were also poor.

Very nice hostel.

I’d suggest finding a different room, never have I been nagged this hard for being 15 mins late to checkout - the service desk kept shouting in hope of getting some money from me for being 15 mins late to checkout. Additionally the room was not cleaned properly with human hair on bed, clogged bathroom sink, dirty smell in the room.

The food selection is extensive and varied, and the prices are good.
