The film:Out Laws
ABOUT THE FILM
Namibian activist Friedel Dausab is fighting to overturn anti-LGBTQIA+ inherited laws from British colonisation. When he meets other activists from Sri Lanka and Barbados at London Pride, they unite in a powerful moment of community and solidarity. Together, they reflect on the colonial legacy that has forced people in different countries back into the closet.
The panel:
This panel discussion will delve into the impact of Danish colonialism on identity, community, and a sense of belonging. We'll explore how historical legacies continue to influence the lives of queer people, as well as the ways in which solidarity and change can be achieved.
Moderator and panelists will be announced soon.
/ The panel will be held inside the cinema after the screening of ‘Out Laws’
/ Admission to the panel requires a film ticket
