The Planetengarten, a large green park near the Graz trade-fair grounds in the Jakomini district, is Graz's best-documented outdoor gay cruising ground, most active on warm evenings and at weekends after dark. Austria is very safe and same-sex activity is fully legal, but the usual cruising-ground common sense applies: stay in areas you can leave easily, meet people in the open first, and be aware of your surroundings at night.
