The Keep Eco Rooms

Avoid at all costs! The rooms are poorly equipped, the toilets are on the landing and half of them are out of order, requiring you to change floors, and they're not clean. Very disappointed. No parking, even though it was listed on Booking.com...

Great aesthetics and a fun story hidden in the elements of the room. We were in the end room, so the noise from the railway was quite loud. The windows could not be kept open because of the noise, so the room was hot and stuffy. The sounds from the corridor could also be heard very loudly in the room at night.

I love this unique place! Some people may think that it's just (old?) hostel, but it is an unique well maintained art place with upcycle philosophy, where some old things got a second life. You can read more here about each piece of the interior on their site. I've been here once randomly and so much liked this place that decided to come here back again, but with the whole family.

Nice room, we stayed one night. No private bathroom, but there was a sink. The shared bathroom was in good condition. Excellent location, just steps from the train station and a short walk from the historic center and the monastery across the street. I recommend it.

Hands down the rudest hosts I have ever dealt with in 15 years of booking B&Bs. They tried to over charge me and I’m blown away by the lack of customer service and lack of communication.

Functional rooms, everything was very clean. The toilets and showers in the hallway were also clean. The hostel is very centrally located. The rooms are unusually designed. Absolutely great for one night. You can hear the trains, but that didn't bother us.

It was the cheapest option I could find for a solo traveler during the Easter holiday, and honestly, I was expecting less, but I was pleasantly surprised. It gives you just what you need, nothing more, nothing less. A place to sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel's theme is cute, and the shared bathroom is cleaned constantly; I never found anything dirty. The instructions were clear, the code to open and close the door works well, and that system made me feel safe. Perhaps I would have liked to have at least a full-length mirror in the hallway to check my outfit, haha.

ATTENTION! The rating depends on your needs. If you're looking for a hostel with a bit more privacy than a dorm, this is perfect because it's affordable and offers a great opportunity to socialize in the communal kitchen. HOWEVER, for everyone else, it's not very suitable. It's very cheaply furnished, and even with earplugs, you can hear people snoring in the next room. The rooms have a rustic, cabin-like feel, including the smell. There's only one toilet per floor, which can be quite claustrophobic and has no heating – the seat is freezing cold. The communal shower offers no privacy unless you can manage to get dressed and undressed in the narrow cubicle behind the curtain. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend it for families or couples. I think the price-performance ratio is good, and the owners have done an incredibly charming job of decorating it despite the limitations – hence the 4 stars (colorful paintings, earplugs provided, nice old-fashioned kitchen equipment).

I can't quite understand the extremely bad reviews. The place looked just like the pictures, and the fact that the toilets and usually the shower are located in the hallway is as described. The mattress was firm, but comfortable. Yes, there's a busy road right next to it, but the hostel provides earplugs, so I didn't hear anything. Perhaps I was just lucky and went at a less busy time. There are indeed relatively few toilets and showers for the number of rooms, but I never encountered anyone else. Everything was clean. A definite drawback is that there was no hot water at 8 p.m. I read that some rooms smell of smoke, but thankfully that wasn't the case in mine. I wouldn't have liked that at all. However, that's not the hostel's fault: smoking is prohibited everywhere, and there's even a €300 fine for smoking. On the first floor there's a communal kitchen and a large container full of apples that you can help yourself to. All in all, I think the value for money is excellent; I paid €37.

Clean rooms. Interesting design. For those sensitive to night sounds, please note the train tracks close by. I was fully aware of them prior to booking, so it was not an issue for me.
