Hotel Carinthia Velden

The staff was friendly and helpful, the place is wonderful, the rooms spacious and equipped with everything you need, and the location is excellent. We couldn't have asked for better. I also recommend stopping by the bar in the afternoon, where you can enjoy a great drink, run by a super-friendly and helpful owner. Grazie!

Castle-like, listed building in an absolutely prime location overlooking Lake Wörthersee. All the hotspots, such as Velden Castle, the casino, the spa gardens, the lido, the pier, and the weekly market, are practically on the doorstep. Private, free, gated parking is available at the hotel. Well-maintained, super-clean rooms with a touch of patina. The owners are empathetic and leave no wish unfulfilled. Best regards, with special thanks to Brigitte, who made the trip to the luggage room a breeze. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely authentic hotel in the middle of Velden am Wörthersee. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. The location of the hotel is especially superb. We looked out over the lake from the window. Perfect.

A beautiful, atmospheric hotel with wonderful rooms. The 1930s decor is beautiful and unique, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the view of the lakes is amazing. I would love to return to this hotel.

Old hotel in everything

We were lucky enough to snag a large apartment for the Fête Blanche. Not only was the check-in incredibly friendly and helpful, but the wonderfully pleasant check-out with Brigitte was also a highlight... no, this incredibly charming villa in the center, just steps from the lake (or the Corso), is fantastic! The listed, very old building is extremely well-maintained and clean, with attractive decor and a beautiful, large (new) bathroom that I wish I had at home! The mix of herringbone flooring, genuine antique furniture, and modern pieces is what makes it so special! There's also a large parking lot with barriers. But the very best thing was the direct view of the turquoise Wörthersee – simply breathtaking (at any time of day or night). The great wine bar on the ground floor of the building shouldn't go unmentioned – top-notch! We felt completely at ease and would have loved to stay longer – but we'll definitely be back!
