What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, the beautiful lake location with its own beach, and the excellent breakfast and restaurant quality. However, a recurring complaint centers on uncomfortable and saggy mattresses in some rooms, leading to poor sleep, and issues with room cleanliness and maintenance.

A wonderful hotel with friendly staff, a great breakfast, and a beautiful interior that stands out thanks to its attention to detail without feeling cluttered. We'll be back when: e-foiling is allowed on Lake Wörthersee. I had my e-foil with me and was pleased to find that motorboats, etc., are permitted on the lake. The fact that e-foiling isn't allowed, as announced by Department 7 of the Carinthian state government, really surprised me, especially since Carinthia and its lakes have a strategic challenge (sorry: the outdated image) of shedding it. Trendy sports that aren't rejected "because it's never been done that way before" would be a building block with great potential for development. A small suggestion/keyword: an eFoil slalom competition on Lake Wörthersee with an accompanying event. Great for foiling and entertaining for spectators... Plus, it's a first mover, leaving a blank slate. Carinthia and its lakes have a strategic challenge (sorry: the outdated image). Allowing e-foiling, with proper coordination with boat traffic, swimmers, etc., is certainly possible. Lake Garda shows that it works. For me, it's a déjà vu of the 80s. Back then, snowboarders were forbidden from using T-bar lifts. Today, we on our boards are "the freshest" thing on the slopes, the youngsters (even though I'm already 65), who have brought a new spirit to the winter seasons. Perhaps you could share this with the tourism officials at Lake Wörthersee. Allow me to include an AI-generated image. Greetings from Tyrol to beautiful Carinthia

We had three wonderful days here. The location was beautiful, the food excellent, and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. The staff were always attentive, very friendly, and always had a smile ready. The ladies at reception were also motivated even in the evening; Nathalia at reception was particularly impressive. Thank you for the short break, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Over the past few years, I've stayed at this beautiful hotel in Velden am Wörthersee twice in the spring, and I was thrilled each time. The location right in the heart of town, directly on the lake and the Corso promenade, is truly unique. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and offers an underground parking garage with a wallbox. Upon arrival, the friendly receptionist parked my car, plugged it in, unloaded my luggage, and carried it to my room. The room, a junior suite, was spacious and lovely. It was very quiet, even with the patio doors open. The receptionist was incredibly kind, helpful with reservations, and made my stay truly special. Breakfast in the garden is fantastic, with a choice of various egg dishes and a buffet. Dinner in the hotel's own restaurant is also fabulous, by the way. The service staff is exceptionally well-trained and very friendly. We also made good use of the lakeside sauna and the spacious beach area, which further enhanced our wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

I'd like to preface this by saying that I've been coming to this hotel for 15 years, with a few breaks, but the management doesn't seem particularly interested in that. Nevertheless, we'll gladly return. It's a beautiful, traditional hotel that was once perfectly run by the Kenney family. Now, many things are very good (service in the restaurant, rooms, ambiance), however, the service in the bistro and at reception isn't quite perfect, with a few minor shortcomings.

I had the pleasure of experiencing this hotel during a conference. We brought our dog along. The service is incredibly authentic, attentive, and friendly. A rare gem. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and clean. A great blend of historical charm and cutting-edge modern amenities. We'll definitely be back – that's how you create repeat business!
