My highlight of our last visit to Vienna was the Hotel Beethoven. We were in town for the Eurovision Song Contest and had decided on the Beethoven quite spontaneously, partly because of its convenient location just around the corner from the Naschmarkt and Karlsplatz. It's a small, very elegant, privately owned boutique hotel. The floors are themed, and everything is lovingly and individually designed. We found the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom with its walk-in shower and separate toilet was very practical and beautifully designed. A hotel also thrives on its staff and atmosphere, and both are excellent at the Beethoven. Everyone is very friendly and service-oriented, striking just the right balance between personal and professional service. Special praise goes to our bartender, Ben. He gave us a wonderful evening at the hotel's cocktail bar and served fantastic cocktails. The bar is excellent and is also open to non-hotel guests. Since we booked directly with the hotel, we received two drink vouchers upon check-in. On our last morning, we also had breakfast at the hotel. They offer a generous buffet. Hot drinks, egg dishes, and similar items are prepared to order. The price is absolutely reasonable. It was one of my best hotel stays in a long time. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would love to come back again. :)

Hotel Beethoven Wien was one of the most special and memorable stays of our entire European honeymoon. This beautiful private hotel has an incredible charm—elegant, intimate, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something unique. The staff were, without a doubt, the most welcoming and attentive we encountered on our trip. A special shoutout to Ben, the manager and bartender, who made our stay unforgettable. He was one of the warmest and most genuine people we met—going above and beyond by sharing a detailed list of local recommendations, taking the time to truly connect with guests, and crafting some of the best gin and tonics we’ve ever had. One of the unexpected highlights was attending a classical concert at the hotel—something we didn’t even know we needed, but ended up absolutely loving. It added such a special and authentic Viennese touch to our experience. The hotel also offers complimentary tickets to the Albertina Museum, which we gladly took advantage of and highly recommend. Our room was comfortable and beautifully designed, with an elegant, old-world feel that perfectly matched the atmosphere of Vienna. Since it was our honeymoon, we were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more memorable. The location is fantastic—within walking distance of nearly everything you’d want to see, making it easy to explore the city. If you’re looking for a romantic, charming, and truly personal hotel experience in Vienna, Hotel Beethoven Wien is an exceptional choice. We can’t recommend it highly enough especially for couples celebrating something special.

My husband and I found Vienna to be a city of rare beauty, and the Hotel Beethoven helped make our stay a memorable one, leaving us longing to return. A warm and helpful welcome, a comfortable room, and a varied and satisfying breakfast. We didn't sample the afternoon desserts offered, simply because we were intent on exploring this city as much as possible. We hope to return soon, thus making up for this missed opportunity.

What an amazing gem of a hotel. Each floor is uniquely themed in this small hotel. The staff are extremely pleasant. The breakfast is lovely and the bar downstairs is usually active with guests. The live musical performance on Sunday night was an especially nice treat. If you are looking for a non-chain hotel with cute charm and attentive staff, Hotel Beethoven is a great place to stay. Easy walking distance to the opera house and most of downtown.
