About this place TITANIC est. 1982

TITANIC is a men-only gay club in Vienna’s 11th district, and it’s been there for over 40 years.

Opened in 1982, TITANIC isn’t trying to be all things to all people. It’s for gay men, specifically, looking for a certain kind of social space in Vienna.

Vienna’s gay scene has plenty of options, from low-key neighborhood spots to full-on dance clubs. TITANIC is a very particular slice of that. It’s a dedicated men-only establishment, which shapes the whole vibe.

You go to TITANIC for a place with history, a consistent meeting point for a specific crowd. It’s not trying to be the newest thing; it’s just there, doing what it’s done for decades. Always a good idea to check their current hours and any door policies before you go.

Very dirty and smelly place with overpriced entrance and cheesy music. If these are the best bear parties, what are the rest i wonder...

"Cash only!" Hello, is this the year 2025? Are they trying to act pseudo-"cool" like it's the 20th century? Is it about tax evasion, perhaps? Now, about the place: theoretically a non-smoking establishment with a smoking area, but in practice, smoking is allowed or permitted everywhere, whether by the DJ or at the bar. For non-smokers, it's an absolute disgrace! Incidentally, it stinks practically everywhere; the only good thing is perhaps the (non-smoking) corner for a quickie, otherwise there's really not much to experience there!

Entry, cloakroom, and drinks are quite expensive. They don't have non-alcoholic beer, which is practically everywhere these days – that's a real bummer for a sober person. It's cramped even when it's not busy because there's only one proper dance floor, and the bar and corridors are quite convoluted. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not a complete no-go either.
