2 years ago I was there and my experience was completely different, was really good before, now there’s a club hunt next door and sorry but we feel like we are there, impossible to sleep, no way to stay there again, and they have insects, the location is good, next to the meer but I will never go again

Absolutely avoid this place. The hostel is located in the same building as a nightclub that closes at 5 a.m. and is separated from the club only by a poorly insulated door: the music is audible in the rooms as if you were inside the club. The electrical outlets are very poorly distributed in the rooms, and the floor in the men's showers is sagging, with all the water leaking under the shower stall floor. Furthermore, and most importantly, there are BEDBUGS in the rooms: run away at all costs. To get a decent night's sleep in the center of Antwerp, you have to spend more than €35 per person, and we should have known better.

The 20-bed room is INFESTED with bedbugs... Photos available. Be careful not to put your belongings on the beds to avoid bringing them home!

I am a member of the lacrosse team. I loved the atmosphere. Every time I walked in there to a common space there was a person tweaking there. I loved how he told his friends on the phone that he used morfine for the first time (such an adventurous guy!🤪). It was very social, every time there was somebody on the couch sleeping or calling. It was really fun to have that company, so when I was done with my lacrosse team members I could talk to them. I was surprised by how social people were. I also loved the buffet (it was good that they did not have that much so I didn’t have “keuzestress” as they say in Dutch). I really liked the l ski hut music, fortunately I could listen to it all night🕺🪩. Lastly I wanted to say be like a panda 🙏🐼. My stay was such a mango blast 🥭, just like the smell of my room!

I haven't received an answer on how to get the key, the reservation is paid but I can't use the accommodation

We were excited to stay here but were forced to cancel our trip due to a serious injury. This place refused to refund with multiple weeks notice. Straight theft.

Honestly, one of the worst hostels I've ever been to. The location is simply amazing, but that's all. The place is both old and under-maintained. Due to its location, there's a lot of noise at night. The breakfast is less than basic. They only have one bathroom for dozens of people. It felt overall uneasy, especially for a female solo traveler. Besides objective considerations, I had a terrible experience with a male staff member: he entered a female-only room way before check-out time WITHOUT knocking first. Just two seconds before I was in underwear. This is unacceptable and felt like something done on purpose.
