My experience wasn't great. We wanted to have a bit of a lie-in in the morning, so I asked the receptionist if we could have a late checkout until 2:00 pm. She said, 'Of course you can.' I thanked her. But when I checked out, they charged me a late checkout fee. So my question is, why didn't they mention that fee when I asked? If they had, I wouldn't have taken the late checkout. Don't I have a right to be told about charges upfront?"
Beautiful setting, spotless rooms, soft lines and comfy bed. The quality of the food and wine is outstanding. The compete let down is the service though. The staff is slow and incompetent and a very poor understanding of what is good service. No apologies for wrong orders or long waiting. Better staff at restaurant, bar and reception would make this place a real gem.
I had a horrible experience at this hotel, which markets itself as an upper‑tier property but delivers service well below that standard. The hotel’s website promotes gym access in a way that is, at best, grossly misleading. It clearly suggests that hotel guests have access without needing a membership, yet when I arrived in gym attire in the morning, I was told I had to pay an additional €25 just to enter. When I pointed out the wording on the website, staff insisted that “no membership” only meant no monthly fee and that a daily €25 charge was still required. This is not a minor misunderstanding; it feels like a deliberate play on words to upsell guests after they have already booked and arrived. Despite raising this issue, all I received was a basic apology with no alternative, no solution, and no gesture of goodwill. For a hotel that positions itself as premium, this complete lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve a clear discrepancy is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I have lost trust in this brand and do not intend to stay at this hotel—or at any of their other properties—again.
Had a delicious lunch in the afternoon, truly top-notch cuisine. À la carte breakfast, a great concept. Good, fast service.
There is a noticeable amount of noise in the rooms coming from the hallway. Nice setting, though.
Very disappointed. Service and staff were rude. We paid 450 euros for one night ( incl breakfast ) - place is okay but everything in inauthentic/ staff not warm welcoming. We did not feel it was worth the money we spent.
