Canalview Hotel Ter Reien
Visitors frequently praise the hotel's excellent location, noting its proximity to the city center and pleasant canal views. However, common complaints include minimal room amenities, with extra charges for items like hairdryers, and a lack of ventilation or fans leading to rooms being uncomfortably hot. Some guests also found the rooms to be small and basic for the price.

Everything was great. They just need a fan in the summertime Reception was 5 star
The receptionist tries to make it a pleasant experience, but he isn't really getting any help. The room was a bit spartan; a bit of coziness would help. It is nice and close to the city center, though.
The hotel is very nice and very well located, within walking distance of the entire old town. However, there are a few things they should improve that don't cost the hotel anything extra, such as providing a hairdryer. If you need one, they charge you for it, and there's almost never anyone at reception. Our room didn't have a door in the bathroom, just a curtain. That was the biggest drawback. The breakfast buffet was very good.
Great view if the canal and nice location. Minimal amenities in the room. Extra payment needed for everything ( shampoo, hairdryer , extra pillows, extra heating ) . Vending machine worked only with coins . No sound insulation ( we could what the next room did through the bathroom vent) . Basic breakfast ( bread, overbaked croissant, ham , cheese, marmalade, boiled eggs, apples , juice )
We stayed in a room downstairs overlooking the canal, and we sat by the window for hours; it was wonderful. The room was small but clean. The breakfast was more than adequate. I recommend it.
