Astoria Hotel Gent

Fabulous property with beautiful garden. Rooms are spacious in European standards. We had a cosy room on the second floor with views of the garden and neighbouring properties. There is a gym and sauna here but we didn’t use them so cannot comment. Bed is super comfortable. There is a safe, bar fridge and tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. You can fill your water bottles anytime in the dining area. There are also drinks, home made food etc available for purchase- all via honour system. The room had a walk-in shower with rain shower head and hand held shower rose with excellent water temp and pressure. Ritual shampoo, body gel and hand wash are provided. There is no daily housekeeping and rooms are cleaned after 48hours of stay. Reception is not staffed 24hours but didn’t pose any problems for us at all. Location is safe, very peaceful and quiet. Thank you to Anne who welcomed and checked us in and Steve who is always cheerful. Breakfast is great, with home made hot and cold items, continually replenished. Extremely satisfied with our stay.

Very nice, cozy wnd modern hotel with reasonable price

Located about a 10-minute walk from the train station in a quiet neighborhood, this brick house with a garden is a great base for a city trip. Thanks to soundproofing, the busy railway line is hardly noticeable. However, you'll need to take the tram to get to the city center. The room was well-furnished – everything you needed. The breakfast (unfortunately only until 9 a.m.) was very generous and lovingly prepared with many homemade items.

Beautiful gem of a hotel 5 mins from train station. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are quiet, comfortable and peaceful. Stayed 3 nights and loved it. Would highly recommend.

Superb hotel

Had a very pleasant stay at a nice, well-maintained hotel.

This boutique hotel is a gem. Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Everything was presented with such care and made so appetizingly. All homemade, which you can definitely taste and which really makes a difference. There's also a small gym and a sauna. And you can help yourself to water around the clock, which is also exceptional. The location is very close to the train station. Yes, you can hear the trains because the hotel is just a short walk from the station, but funnily enough, you get used to it. However, if you're very sensitive to noise, you probably shouldn't stay near the station. So, for us, everything was perfect. Many thanks to the Astoria Hotel team!
