Café Rocco is Leuven's dedicated gay bar, a rainbow-flagged café tucked just behind the railway station in Kessel-Lo. It is an old-fashioned, conversation-focused café rather than a dance club — no loud music or dance floor, just a relaxed spot where the city's LGBTQ+ community and students gather over a drink. Rocco doubles as an informal home base for several of Flemish Brabant's LGBTQ+ groups and sits on the same corner as the UniQue rainbow house, making this quiet stretch behind the station the closest thing Leuven has to a gay hub.
