About this place ibis budget Leuven Centrum

ibis budget Leuven Centrum is a no-frills Accor chain hotel on Martelarenlaan, directly behind Leuven railway station. It is mainstream and gay-friendly in the ordinary sense, not a gay hotel. Rooms follow the standard ibis budget format: compact, functional, and priced at the bottom of the market. The main selling point is location: trains to Brussels and the airport leave a few minutes away, and the Grote Markt and university buildings are about a 10 to 15-minute walk. The 3.7 rating from over 1,500 reviews matches the brand: fine for a night or two if price and transport matter more than comfort. Leuven itself has a small LGBTQ scene; Brussels has more.

The AC keeps turning itself off. The TV and remote don't work properly, so streaming isn't an option. The Wifi is garbage in my room, so I can't use your laptop, either. I've tried to get help for 2 full days, but the only staff are students who lack the authority to do anything, while the normal staff is away "team-building." I am grateful that they've stored my high-end bike in the luggage closet, and everyone has been really nice. But I'm really miffed that I cannot be productive or watch tv during this heat wave due to the shitty wifi/TV issues. Unacceptable. UPDATE: Finally today a technician disabled the automated controls of my AC and fixed my tv. So I've given the hotel some stars back.

Very small room for ca. 90 euros. But the location is excellent. Direct at the main station

I had a custom camel wheelchair. Very satisfied with it. Highly recommended.

Had a great 6 night stay. Hotel is newer. Clean. Travelling solo, so the room with a double sized bed was perfect for me. Location was right beside (on top) of the Leuven train station. So it was easy to get anywhere (other cities, Brussels Airport, etc). 24hr front desk with key pass required to enter hotel. Staff was pleasant. Hotel has breakfast option and seating area. Leuven is a walkable place (bike city) and hotel is perfect location to explore all of it (again). Will definitely come back here in the future!
