About this place Hotel Astra

Hotel Astra is a mainstream hotel on Zelenih beretki street in central Sarajevo, listed as gay-friendly rather than as a gay venue. It rates 4.1 on Google from around 230 reviews. The location is walkable to Ferhadija, the Eternal Flame and the old bazaar at Baščaršija. Sarajevo has no permanent gay bar scene, and same-sex couples generally avoid public displays of affection, so plan for a discreet stay. Book directly or through a platform and confirm parking if you are driving, as central streets are tight.

The hotel is a nightmare😄🤣 It's so bad it's almost funny, but I'm giving the admin a star. He was funny. Nothing to write home about. Look at the photos and you'll understand. 😄 The headband in the toilet was especially funny.🤣

I was pleased with the overall service quality at this hotel, which is centrally located and easily accessible. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Room cleaning was done regularly, the beds were comfortable, and basic needs were fully met. Breakfast was adequate and delicious. My first impression was quite positive, and it seemed like a suitable choice for a short stay. However, the hotel is located on a street with many bars and a vibrant nightlife. From the evening onwards, loud music, conversations, and crowd noise continue until late at night. Even with the windows closed, the sound reaches the room significantly. Therefore, resting and sleeping becomes almost impossible. This is especially disappointing if you're expecting a quiet environment after a tiring day. While I had a positive experience in terms of service and cleanliness, I can say that the location wasn't ideal for me because I couldn't fully enjoy my stay. I recommend that guests seeking peace and quiet consider this before booking.
