About this place Club Asylum

Club Asylum is the beating heart of Sofia's current queer nightlife. This LGBT-owned club sits in a passage off Hristo Belchev Street in the city centre and spreads across roughly 420 square metres, combining a main dance floor with a separate dark room and playroom for cruising. It runs a packed weekly programme of parties — recurring Gay Party, Couples Night, LesBi Party, underwear and fetish nights, drag shows and queer-goth events — typically Friday and Saturday from around 22:00 until the early hours. The crowd is a friendly mix of locals and visitors and the atmosphere is unmistakably the most established dedicated gay club in the capital today.

We have only visited Asylum twice and we already have great memories of this club. The staff is very nice, the bar is great, the music and service are at a very high level for Sofia. And of course, one of the unique things about this club is its guests. There are internal rules that are really followed. Overall, the atmosphere is very relaxed and you feel good there even when you are alone. The entrance and alcohol prices are completely decent. The music is mostly very good German-style techno. I look forward to our next visits to this great place and I recommend all fans of this culture to feel the atmosphere. Greetings and success to the entire team.
