About this place The Steps

The Steps is a multi-level LGBTQ nightlife venue on Bratya Miladinovi Street in central Sofia and the home of the VAULT party nights. Programming mixes drag shows, DJ dance parties, go-go dancers and themed queer events. On weekends the crowd is young and up for a late night. Sofia's gay scene is small, and most of it runs on weekend parties, so check the event schedule before you go on a weeknight. Bulgaria has no legal recognition for same-sex couples and public attitudes are mixed, so be discreet on the street outside even though the venue itself is relaxed.
