Queer Varna Foundation

Queer Varna Foundation (Фондация „Куиър Варна“) is the local LGBTI+ group in Varna and the main reason the city has any queer calendar at all. It grew out of a collective of alumni from an LGBTQ+ leadership academy and now runs monthly community events and the Varna Queer Fest, held through June (5–27 June 2026, its third edition) with film, literature, exhibitions, drag and workshops. It is a member of IGLYO. It has no public office. Event dates and venues are posted on queervarna.bg and Instagram @queervarna, which is the best way to find out what is on during your visit.
