What reviewers say

Visitors praise the Art Hotel Dubrovnik for its beautiful boutique feel, nice personnel, and competitive prices, often highlighting the great breakfast with a view. However, a significant and recurring complaint is the lack of an elevator and the numerous stairs, making it difficult to access the hotel, especially with luggage. Some guests also report frustrating experiences with booking cancellations due to overbooking.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I made a reservation back in January for a stay in July, only to have it cancelled by the hotel in May due to their own overbooking. This was extremely frustrating, especially since I planned well in advance specifically to avoid issues like this. Even worse, I still have not received a refund for the payment I made in January. Being left without a reservation and without my money is completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution others about relying on this hotel to honor reservations or handle issues responsibly.

Very beautiful boutique hotel ran by very nice personell. The hotel is accessible by the beachfront promenade. The prices are quite competitive to the other hotels I experienced and which turned out to be not that great. If you have a large suitcase, you will ‘have fun’ to get up and down the stairs. The rooms are also great for a stay in at a rainy day and to do some work at the desk. In summary, you can’t go wrong with this hotel.

The breakfast with the view was really nice!

A hotel with no elevator, a nightmare going up and down 90 steps. There are dozens of better hotels around with the same view. It doesn't have direct access to the sea. The price is lower because of all these inconveniences. Never again. Ruined vacation.

Terrible facility. They accept reservations months and months in advance, then sell the rooms at higher prices and cancel the reservations just weeks before arrival, when prices in the city are already skyrocketing. Inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. We will never book at this property again.

We booked a room at the Art Hotel three months in advance, only to be told 3 weeks before our arrival that there had been a mistake and that the hotel was booked, leaving us without accommodation. The owner told us that she would try to resolve the situation within a week and did not let us know anything, and when we called her she said that she had forgotten to call us. Stay away from this hotel if you want to be sure that you will get what you booked, the owner is extremely unprofessional.
