Hostel Kvarner

the reception guy seems to have mental problem. he said check in time is 5pm but I came early so he asked me money. I gave it to him and he said something very rude and racist. I was offended and complained about it and he kicked me out without giving back the money. The room is very tiny and dirty.

Super close to the bus station. The private rooms are good. Nice and friendly staff.

The person who received me told me that he could not guarantee a quiet place due to the presence of some guests, and that he could not do anything about it because he stays far from the hostel. 10.11.2024 Thanks for the manager's reply. All over the world, therefore also in Croatia, there are rules of civility to be respected that must influence the behavior of others so that a place does not become a hell. A group of guests can socialize away from the dormitories and not end up talking loudly and for a long time at 2:00 in the morning, but from the manager's reply it is clear that he is interested in proposing private rooms in these cases.

Cheap near the old town. Ok for backpackers

Neat and clean hostel, kitchen clean and well equipped. Host friendly and helpful, ready to help. Beds comfortable, room warm. Large supermarket just a few minutes walk away. I recommend!

Awesome place to be for an overnight! The host is so amazing and helpful, he even would introduce us to other travelers! The room was great! Spacious room! Also very good location! Needs improvement: 1. Check-in... We need to work on our regular check in time. The website says 3pm, then once I've booked it, they said that check-in is at 5pm. So I was stuck outside just waiting for someone to open the door. Luckily another traveler opened it in for me. Once inside, there was no one taking care of the nor no place to sit down and wait and no luggage to leave your bag. So I just left it right behind the un-manned lobby desk. Note* The lobby is wayyyy smaller than the rooms. 2. Lastly, the restroom! I'm short, about 5'5, but the toilet seat is right up against the wall. The restroom is so small. I feel bad for the taller men/women who have to turn 90 degrees just to prevent their knees from hitting the wall. Overall, I had a good time, nice location, nice rest, great host very communicative, but just be aware of the check-in/out issues. and the extremely small WC.
