Hotel Laguna, Zagreb

The cleanliness was terrible, one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The air conditioners weren't working. They changed my room, but they couldn't remove the screws because they were afraid the glass would fall if they unscrewed them. My room was very hot, and I had to return to this filthy room you see here. There were no reservations at nearby hotels, and they wouldn't issue a refund. It's a complete disgrace. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Very bad. Literally not recommended. Disappointed, we leave after 2 hours.

Unfortunately the worst experience in my life. Rooms dirty, smelly, windows cannot be opened because they are screwed into the frame. Air conditioning does NOT work, there is no air conditioning. Bathrooms dirty and untidy, they leave toilet paper from previous guests. Shower curtain is over 40 years old. Be sure that you will get serious illnesses if you stay in the hotel for a few days. The room was 28 degrees. Floors dirty. Fridge does not work, TV also. It is a shame that a hotel like this does not pass rigorous measures from the official institutions of the Republic of Croatia. If you have any sense, do not waste your time or money on this hotel. When there was a problem, the staff was very uninterested in any discussions. Shame -10 stars

Be aware before booking this hotel, especially during summer. The hotel is very outdated, with tiny rooms and a strong 1980s feel. The air conditioning did not work and the room temperature reached 30.3°C. It was only blowing air without cooling. We were initially unable to open the window because there was a warning notice saying it could fall out. The staff were polite and moved us to another room, but the air conditioning there also did not work. The only advantage was that the window could be opened. With outside temperatures above 30°C, a working air conditioner is not a luxury but a necessity. We were very disappointed and would not choose this hotel again. I am writing this review to warn other travellers to carefully consider booking this hotel during hot weather.

The hotel's location is good, but that's about it. Okay, you can't expect much for the price, but clean towels and a working air conditioner should be provided if it's advertised. There's plenty of parking. The rooms are very outdated, and the carpeting is in terrible condition. I'd rather not even mention the bathroom.

The best part about the Hotel was the staff and the exit doors. Unfortunately could not cancel, but did try. The Hotel is in a stage of neglect. The AC, Beds,TV(from the early 80s. )Nothing worked you could not even open the windows. The bathroom was filthy old( the staff can only do so much to keep it clean). This Hotel Laguna , should not be a 3 star Hotel. It is so misleading it should be an embarrassment to the Owners. They should invest some of the money into refurbishment of the hotel to match the bar area to the rest of the Hotel. It was the most painful 2 days that we were reluctant to shower there. Either should be demolished or brought up to the current era and not the 70's.

Unfortunately, the hotel has seen better days. The rooms are in dire need of renovation. Towel changes still need to be requested after three nights. Breakfast is slightly more varied than last year.

Hotel not recommended! Room not booked: air conditioning not working; shower with mold; broken shower head and hose; extremely soft mattress. And let's not even mention the reception toilets where flies have taken up residence. I'll stop there.

Worst hotel experience I’ve had. The whole place reeks of cigarettes, the rooms are filthy like they haven’t been cleaned in ages, and nothing works: no AC in peak summer, broken elevator. The staff are rude on top of it. I had a 7am business start and couldn’t even get a coffee before then, and the woman at breakfast shouted at me for asking. Looks great in photos, delivers nothing. A complete scam. Book anywhere else.

Dated and affordable. Probably would stay again. Updated, after the recent bed bug reports, would probably skip this place.
