About This Event
Jyväskylä Pride takes over the city for a week in early September, courtesy of Jyväskylän Seta. It's a deliberate break from the usual June timeline.
The grand finale is a Saturday parade that winds its way from Kirkkopuisto to Lounaispuisto, culminating in a party in the park.
You'll spot the University of Jyväskylä, student union JYY, and the city marching together as groups.
The 2026 edition ran from 7 to 13 September, with the parade happening on 12 September. That year's theme, "Freedom to Move" (liikuntarauha), zeroed in on equality in sport and leisure.
No official headcount was available from the police or organisers.
As of our last check, the 2027 dates hadn't been announced.

The theme for Jyväskylä Pride 2026 is 'Liikuntarauha kaikille' (Peace of movement for everyone), focusing on the visibility and inclusivity of LGBTQ+ individuals in sports and recreational spaces.
Parade and Park Festival
The Pride Parade gathers at Kirkkopuisto at 11 AM and starts moving towards Lounaispuisto at 12 PM on Saturday, September 6th. The Park Festival follows at Lounaispuisto from 1 PM to 4:30 PM.
Getting Around
Public transport in Jyväskylä is managed by Linkki buses. Tickets can be purchased as single tickets, day tickets, or season tickets. Mobile tickets are also available.
