The hostel was very affordable overall and generally okay for the price. I only paid about €27 per night for an 8-bed dorm, which is really great. I especially liked the location, the hostel vibe, and the fact that I had some good conversations there as a solo traveler. The neighborhood is generally good for going out, but as a solo traveler, you have to be a bit proactive in approaching people. The main problem for me was the heat in the room. The warm air got trapped upstairs, there was no air conditioning, and only a small vent in the room. This made sleeping rather difficult, especially in high temperatures. For short stays and in cooler weather, I would recommend the hostel because of its price, location, and atmosphere. However, I would only recommend it with reservations in the dorm rooms during extreme heat.
Had breakfast and lunch here and it was great, the atmosphere is very cozy with air conditioning to beat the heatwaves outside. Ended up staying and worked for hours while sipping delicious drinks made by Shella and Adèle, their service was excellent and very helpful. I came back the next day and had another amazing time, even asked them to use the mezzanine floor earlier for a quick online meeting and they’re generous enough to let me Thank you Shella and Adèle for providing excellent hospitality, will come again when i’m back in Strasbourg
35€ payed with breakfast included for one night Check in smooth, rooms clean, bed is good except that mine was missing the lights, but whatever. Not the best shower without possibility of temperature change. Lockers available in the room, need to have your own padlock. Breakfast is worth 5€ payed, but no veggies, no fruits. Only 2 stars because is extremely hot over there, I got the highest bed in the room and it’s just terrible, no airflow cuz no ventilation, no fans no AC. My watch told me it was 33 degrees while outside supposed to be 23 at night (36 day). So I was wet whole night, I needed to use towel… There is bar downstairs so quite noisy at night. Overall, no one cares of People’s Sleep in this place…
Apart from the extra evening events, it's very good here – clean and friendly. I'd still gladly come back.
The rooms are very nice and clean, and overall the hostel makes a very clean impression. However, there are mice in the toilet, and you have absolutely no privacy while showering. The cleaning staff come in while you're showering and don't seem to care about privacy at all. My friends and I found hairs in the food almost every time we ate. The location itself is pretty okay. Also, the beds are very short, so people over 1.85 meters tall can't even stretch their legs. I'll definitely have to think twice about coming back!
A nice place, thanks to its unique and quirky atmosphere. The welcome is friendly and the food is quite good. However, there's a complete lack of respect for other guests. People in the hallways were talking on video calls at all hours, and a woman in the room was also on the phone until 2 a.m., despite my requests to speak outside the room.
