About this place L'Astral

L'Astral is a queer-friendly cocktail bar at 28 rue Gabriel Peri in central Toulouse, in the premises long known as the gay bar P3. Reopened under its cosmic new identity, it keeps a warm late-night feel with zodiac-themed cocktails, a small dancefloor and a mixed, predominantly gay crowd. Open Tuesday to Saturday from early evening until the small hours, it sits a short walk from the Capitole and the cluster of gay bars around Carmes and Saint-Etienne. (Formerly P3.)

I came for lunch and appreciated the quick service and the quality of the food. The croque-madame was generous, the salmon bagel was delicious, and the daily special, a hanger steak, was served with a side salad. All the dishes came with well-seasoned fries. Overall, it was a good meal and the portions were just right. My only slight complaint is that the prices are a bit high in my opinion, especially the daily special at €21, which I found a little expensive.
