About this place Rooms Hotel Tbilisi

Rooms Hotel Tbilisi is the kind of hotel that becomes a headquarters for a certain type of traveller ? the kind who wants design, culture, and community built into where they stay rather than just comfortable beds and efficient service. It occupies a converted Soviet building in the Vake district, a quieter and more residential neighbourhood to the west of the old city, and the renovation has produced an interior of considerable sophistication: raw concrete, brass fittings, mid-century furniture, and Georgian craft textiles combined in a way that is unmistakably local without being folkloric. The hotel's reputation in LGBTQ+ travel circles rests primarily on its consistently welcoming approach: same-sex couples are treated with complete naturalness, the staff do not adjust their behaviour or their language in ways that signal discomfort, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel ? which attracts a notably international, design-conscious, and generally open-minded clientele ? makes it one of the most comfortable bases available in Tbilisi. The hotel has featured in LGBTQ+ travel guides and on recommendation lists circulated by community organisations. The rooftop bar is the hotel's social centrepiece ? a space with views across the Tbilisi skyline that draws both guests and Tbilisi's creative class for evening drinks. The bar programme is well-executed, the wine selection emphasises Georgian naturals, and the crowd on a good evening mixes travellers from across the world with local architects, journalists, and cultural figures. The rooftop is particularly rewarding in May, June, and September when the evening temperatures are perfect and the Caucasus hills are visible beyond the city. The restaurant on the ground floor serves Georgian food with contemporary cooking techniques applied to traditional ingredients ? the result is better than most of the tourist-focused Georgian restaurants in the old city, and the breakfasts are excellent. Rooms Hotel is a 15?20 minute taxi ride from the Sololaki district and the old city clubs, and the Bolt app makes getting around straightforward and inexpensive.

I think this is the first time in my years of traveling that I've seen such sour faces from the staff. At first, it was unpleasant and we thought it was just us (the Russian Federation). But after six days of staying here, we experienced such unwelcoming attitudes toward absolutely every guest. The rooms are nice, albeit tired. The breakfast food is okay. But the staff simply ruined everything. We definitely won't be returning.

This is a very designed place; Hotel Budapest meets the great Gatsby meets Moulin Rouge the musical. The building used to be an abandoned print factory until he was converted to this stylish hotel, with the Stamba hotel, the street is full of restaurants with many styles and coffee shops with farm-to-table products. My wife and I were impressed. We came with our two kids ( 6 and 2) and had a great time. We had the king bed and added another single bed, which made the room a bit small but still fun. The tub inside the room is superb, the breakfast is legendary, and above all is the team who works there that provides excellent service Ana from the kitchen Anano from the reception Soso the bellboy Guga from the bar Amazing team🤍 that goes far and above Thank you, team!
