📸 Suggest PhotosRauschgold sits on the Mehringdamm in Kreuzberg and has built a reputation as Berlin's best small drag and cabaret venue. The bar is deliberately cosy — capacity is limited, which means the performances feel intimate rather than theatrical, and the relationship between the drag hostesses and the audience is genuinely interactive rather than one-directional. Regular events include drag bingo, lip sync battles, birthday shows, and fundraiser nights for queer community organisations. The cocktail programme is serious — one of the better cocktail bars in Kreuzberg regardless of sexuality — and the staff are knowledgeable and engaged. The Mehringdamm location is in a cluster of Kreuzberg queer venues that includes Möbel Olfe, Roses, and the bar is walkable from both U-Bahn Mehringdamm and Platz der Luftbrücke. Rauschgold represents the social and performative end of Berlin's queer spectrum — the bar where you go for the show, the conversation, and the sense of community rather than for dancing or cruising.

We were promised pancakes but there were none!! We were forced to pay for cloak room, yet there was a 35 min window that we were not allowed to withdraw our coat. I watched the fireworks out in the cold. They having pictures of drag queens everywhere, i thought there would be a drag show for new years eve, there was none. Very limited seating space. Again, when we bought the tickets there were a mention of pancakes buffet that never happened. We arrive at 22:30 and stayed until 1 a.m.
Love Rauschgold! Cozy, fun, and full of energy. Drinks are great, the crowd is friendly, and the events — from karaoke to drag shows — are always a blast. A must-visit in Berlin for a fun night out!
The bartender was super friendly. Really relaxed environment. Though I went there on a Monday evening and it wasn't that busy, I wasn't bored since the playlist was oldies but goldies kind but not kitsch. Downside might be smoking for non-smokers, I didn't feel disturbed though
Whenever I go to a gay bar outside of the UK it is always refreshing. The music is lovely but not too loud (the only thing I would say is please stop playing Village People, they are just fostering hate towards the LGBTQ community these days) and you can have an actual conversation. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and there was a nice buzz in the air.
As a smoking bar there is no good ventilation system there. We didn't finish our drinks and left the place very soon. Mindless people around token the toilets... Definitely it is not a place for me!
