via Stay22About this place Novum Business Hotel City B Berlin Centrum
This business hotel on Potsdamer Straße in Schöneberg is gay-friendly, and a solid enough place to crash for a few nights.
It’s only a 10-minute walk from Schöneberg’s main cluster of gay bars. You’ll have no trouble getting around Berlin from here either, with public transport and shops right nearby.
Rooms are comfortable and non-smoking. Each has soundproof windows, free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and a desk. A breakfast buffet is served every morning. The front desk is open 24 hours, with staff who speak a bunch of languages. There's also a sauna if you need to sweat out last night's schnapps.
Schöneberg is one of Berlin's older LGBTQ+ neighborhoods. There’s plenty to do just walking around, whether you’re after nightlife, culture, or just want a central, friendly place to stay.

No towels in the room. When we asked, we were simply told, "Towels are only available in the evening." Only ZDF was available on TV, no other channels. The staff was also inadequate. Every single time we passed the reception desk, there was a guest complaining. The only good thing is the location.
Very well located on Bülowstrasse. Friendly, helpful staff, but the hotel rooms have two areas for improvement: Air conditioning (we had to keep the windows open at night in June) and please definitely improve the room key system!
I removed my original review because I received solutions and my experience at the hotel improved as a result. In fairness, the negative review also needs to be adjusted. The room I received did not meet my expectations. I would describe the hotel as a low-budget accommodation, but the price during my trip was definitely too high for what was offered. The room was small, bare, and dated, and the bed was tiny. There were stains on the wall and broken items. What particularly bothered me was a loud noise that occurred every fifteen minutes throughout the night. I have no idea what it was, but it sounded like a toilet flushing or something similar. The door didn't seem to lock from the inside, and the staff couldn't help me in the evening. As a result, I didn't feel very safe staying there alone. In the morning, I complained to management, and they immediately offered me a discount. The technician then explained the next morning that the lock was working, but the other staff member hadn't been aware of it. I also had a problem with the bill – the reception staff couldn't issue it at first – but management was able to help me directly. Therefore, I've adjusted my negative review; the service was good, they addressed my issues, and they did their best to help me.
DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. KEYS WERE MAGNETIZED EVERY DAY. NEARBY METRO STATION. HAS A LOT OF CITY PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL.
A bit dated and slightly musty, but the price is okay. Perfect for one night.
The hotel was a disaster. We had double rooms that were about the size of a shoebox. The only positive thing was that the bus and subway stop right outside.
