via Stay22About this place Bar Voyage
Bar Voyage, a gay-owned spot in Berlin's Schöneberg, sits on a quiet corner just east of Maaßenstraße. It's an antidote to the flashier places elsewhere in this historic LGBTQ+ neighborhood.
The bar feels like a living room. It's small, intimate, and designed for conversation, not shouting over a DJ. Locals and visitors can actually relax here.
Instead of the usual club music or karaoke, Bar Voyage puts on live music and the occasional cabaret. It’s a more personal, artistic experience, and the crowd—usually 60 to 80 percent gay and lesbian—feels genuinely mixed. You might see some dancing, but mostly people are there to talk and hang out.
They open at 2pm from April to mid-October, then switch to 5pm in winter. Closing times are flexible, anywhere from 1am to 3am. This is a real neighborhood spot, a place for regulars and for visitors who want to see what Berlin’s LGBTQ+ scene is like beyond the big clubs. If you're looking for live performance and a bit of quiet, this is it.
