Hechelei

The Hechelei is an event hall in Bielefeld's Ravensberger Park, set in a converted building of the old Ravensberger flax-spinning mill. It hosts concerts, conferences, parties and private events, with capacity for several hundred people. It is not a hotel and not an LGBTQ venue; earlier descriptions saying otherwise were wrong. What happens here depends entirely on the booking calendar, so queer parties or concerts only take place when an organiser rents it. Check the venue's programme or local listings before going. The park also houses museums and a cinema in the former mill complex, a short walk from the city centre.
