The people there are simply decent; if you're looking for nice people to talk to, you absolutely have to go there, it's definitely worth a visit.

I'm glad to hear the place is still open and that Bodo is still behind the bar after all these years. I used to go regularly on my visits to Bochum and Dortmund in the 90s and early 2000s. It looks like things have got posher - back then it had a great darkroom, an artistic and demi-monde clientele (including a bevy of Moroccan queens - I remember Dominique and Jamila in particular). A couple of my acquaintances from those times have died, including one of the artists I was friendly with. I wonder how many others have also gone. I guess I'll never find out unless I go back; I'd certainly like to.
