Hotel Kipping
Visitors praise the Hotel Kipping's excellent location near the train station and its clean, spacious rooms in a historic building, with some finding the basic room rates very reasonable. However, many guests report significant issues with minimal or absent staff, uncontactable management, and rooms in poor condition, including water damage and broken facilities.

The noisiest place in the entire residential area...unbearable...
The hotel cancelled our booking of four rooms for the end of July 2026 today without giving a reason. Looking at the recent reviews, I'm not even upset about it.
It's not as bad as the reviews make it out to be. 😅 I was there from December 29th to 31st. After booking the hotel, I read the reviews and was immediately intimidated. I was expecting the worst. However, I should mention that I was only there for two nights and had a double room. The room was clean. The only flaw I found was the curtain rod, which was hanging a bit crooked. There's no hotel key card. Check-in is done online, but I didn't find that too bad. Unfortunately, there were no cups, sugar, or tea bags in the room. But the heating worked. The light switches didn't work, but thankfully the ones by the bed did. There's also a smart TV. So, for the price, €50 per person for one night is fair, I'd say, especially with today's inflation. The elevator was a bit dirty. Yeah. But it's not a horror hotel. 😂
We booked this accommodation because it was easily accessible from the train station. Upon arrival, the room was freezing cold. Since the radiators weren't working, I informed housekeeping by phone. I was told that a heating pipe had burst and that it would be repaired by the next day at the latest. The night was only bearable with thick sweaters due to the sub-zero temperatures. The following afternoon at 3:00 PM, the room was still cold. The employee told us: "I can't do anything about it now; if you want to leave, you'll get your money back." We left an hour later, but we still haven't received the refund, and we can no longer reach the employee.
