Twins Hotel

We were thrilled! Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a breakfast... Wow! The subway and bus stop are right outside, so you can easily get anywhere you want in the Ruhr area! Whenever we're back in the region, this will be our first choice. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This review should really be a resounding 5-star experience. I stayed at the Twins Hotel from Saturday to Sunday with my pregnant daughter. We travel to hotels quite often, but I haven't experienced anything this fantastic in a long time. The hotel is incredibly modern and beautifully furnished. The staff at reception and in the breakfast room were super friendly, and the breakfast itself was fantastic. You can tell that this hotel is superbly managed. We were both absolutely thrilled and definitely wanted to return after this first stay. Unfortunately, this perfect impression was completely ruined afterward by an unbelievable fuss over something trivial. My daughter is pregnant and suffers from migraines. She had her special medical pillow with her, which is the only thing that provides her with relief and helps her support her belly (a regular nursing pillow doesn't work for her). Unfortunately, we left this pillow in the room. The initial contact was great: The pillow was found, and the hotel offered to send it back if I provided a DHL online label. I did so immediately. Since I wasn't given the dimensions of the packaged pillow (and I'm not a DHL employee who knows them by heart), I bought a standard shipping label. The package was returned to the hotel due to incorrect dimensions. After inquiring, an employee looked into it and sent it again – and it was returned again. Now the hotel has told me I have to buy and pay for another label, since the first one was wrong. They also suddenly claimed that the hotel doesn't usually send such items to guests – even though the offer came directly from the hotel! To this day, I still don't know the package's dimensions, but now I'm supposed to pay for a new label a second time. For an estimated €10 in shipping or upgrade costs, which the hotel could easily have covered as a courtesy (and claimed as a tax deduction), they're driving away potential new regular customers who were otherwise full of praise. For a hotel of this caliber, this petty behavior over such an important medical pillow for a pregnant woman is incredibly frustrating and utterly unfriendly to customers. We were actually planning to come back, but after this fiasco we simply don't want to anymore. What a shame for what was otherwise such a fantastic hotel!

Very friendly welcome, stylish lobby with a lovely breakfast room and terrace, clean, modern rooms with ample storage space. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the rooftop bar.

We had a wonderful stay at the Twins Hotel. We were allowed to check in early upon request, and there was ample parking. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were exceptionally courteous and friendly. The rooftop terrace is also worth a visit. We would love to return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Twins Hotel.

I can only review the breakfast. We booked breakfast there with friends. Always tables for two, and someone was immediately there to arrange enough tables for us. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh, hot waffles, various types of bread and rolls, fruit, raw vegetables, a great variety of spreads, cold cuts (including poultry), cheese, yogurts, muesli—basically everything your heart desires. Everything was served on small trays that were constantly being replenished. All you could want, all for one price. No extra charges like in many other hotels where you have to pay extra for a second coffee or fresh orange juice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated, even the ceiling! 😊 I can't praise the breakfast highly enough! If the weather is nice, you can also sit outside.
