Bar Studio 1 - Düsseldorf

The ambience is very nice, it‘s great to go on a date with or even alone. The music is awesome as well. It will be easy to fall in love with the place. I have been here two times, unfortunately the 2nd time would be my last. Although the staff who greeted and took my order acted quite nice and she seemed to have good vibe, i soon realized that i was taken advantage of. I had ordered a second drink myself, but the 3rd and 4th came WITHOUT ordering it myself. Just as i was finishing my 2nd drink she came and suddenly poured me a 3rd glass without asking or saying anything, which got me so confused i even thought it was for free lol. The 4th arrived after i came back from the toilet. You cannot take this lightly, because each beer costs 6€!! Unfortunately for me i have social anxiety so even if i was not as drunk as she might have believed, i had a hard time saying no or even complain. I am seeing how they respond to poor reviews here. That alone should speak for itself. So regardless of what they end up responding to me here, you should know that i am just giving a totally honest and fair review from a real experience. Also an interesting note. In my 3 years living in Germany, it was my first time being asked if and how much tip i wanna give. I have nothing against that, i just found it curious given how the evening already went. Lol

Drinks incorrectly ordered, €35 for 2 glasses of wine, 1 shandy and 1 Jägermeister... Outrageous!

People smoke inside, which is a shame, especially the next morning, but good service, nice music, and a fun, mixed crowd with a free-spirited vibe.

I've never experienced such incredibly unfriendly service. My friends and I were looking forward to going to a queer bar, curious to see which queer people were welcome. We (all people of color) weren't given a chance from the start. The atmosphere was very hostile, and there were bitter comments. The bad mood completely destroyed any semblance of professionalism. It's a shame, because it's actually a great place with potential, but the underlying issues can't be ignored. The music was turned up louder to drown us out. The owner seems to have a deep-seated problem with young people. It's also strange for an older man to tell younger guests to "swallow, swallow, swallow." Unacceptable.

The most unfriendly service in the world! We were a group of five (queer) people sitting next to the bar, and the bartender was incredibly hostile towards us from the start. I don't know if it was because we're people of color or young, but he clearly didn't want to be around us and kept pressuring us to finish our drinks and leave. His strange comments like "swallow, swallow, swallow" and his intrusive hand covering my friends' faces struck me as completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I hope this review is taken seriously and not met with a shameless and embarrassing response from the owner, because this bar has real potential, and unfortunately, there aren't enough places for queer people in Düsseldorf!

There were five of us, and we were met with disapproving looks from the start. The service was rude from the very beginning. The atmosphere was unpleasant, and we didn't feel welcome at all. Towards the end, we were asked if we wanted to order anything else. We initially declined, whereupon he immediately asked us to finish our drinks because he apparently needed the table, even though there were other free tables. He pressed us for the bill right away and made unpleasant comments to the women in our group, such as, "Swallow, swallow, swallow." The owner was completely drunk and had no manners whatsoever; he seems to have a problem with young people of immigrant backgrounds.

I was there with my friends, hoping to have a relaxing evening, but we were treated very badly by the bartender. He was an old, bitter man who made several inappropriate comments and was generally very unpleasant. After just one drink, he wanted to collect our payment and get rid of us, even though we were behaving normally, perhaps because we were foreigners or simply a young group. I've never experienced such treatment before, and I will avoid this place in the future. I also read the owner's responses to negative reviews, and they are simply childish and unprofessional.

The bartender was very rude; I won't be going there again.

Top spot. Studio is one of the best bars in Düsseldorf, in my opinion. It doesn't matter who you are or who you want to be – everyone is welcome. It's also a great place to go alone. They offer a wide variety of music. It's easy to strike up a conversation, and you never feel alone. I go there regularly now – simply fantastic!
