Dorint Thermenhotel Freiburg

The Dorint Hotel is perfect for a short break. The service is excellent. The rooms are comfortable.

The staff, rooms, and ambiance were impeccable; everyone was very friendly and accommodating. One star deducted from the overall rating for the BBQ buffet, which unfortunately was more of a massive, pseudo-grilling event. This didn't meet the hotel's usual standards. Highly recommended; would gladly return anytime.

The Dorint Thermenhotel is located in the middle of the forest, right next to the thermal baths. The hotel is connected to the baths via an underground passage. The rooms are not very large but are modern and functionally furnished. The entire hotel complex is very well maintained. The food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located for excursions to Freiburg, Alsace, Rust, or the nearby Tuniberg golf course. This hotel is suitable for guests who enjoy a lively atmosphere. The thermal baths are spacious and beautiful, but very crowded. The sauna area, in particular, is very nice and spacious. The fitness center is very well equipped.

I've stayed at this hotel several times now. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's perfect if you want to go to the adjacent thermal baths. The hotel parking spaces are always quite full. The staff at reception, the bar, and the restaurant are very friendly and attentive. At €28, breakfast is on the pricier side; however, the selection is excellent and of high quality! A kitchen team prepares fresh egg dishes, the bread selection is extensive and looks homemade or from a good bakery. The meat, fish, jams, and cheeses are also top-notch. Use of the thermal baths is included. Only the sauna costs an extra €12.50. (Note: you need to bring the money with you, as you have to pay the fee directly before leaving the thermal baths!) The sauna area is phenomenal! I've rarely seen such a beautiful facility! It features a natural pond, a very attractive outdoor area, is spacious, and offers regular sauna infusions. A must for anyone who enjoys a good sweat!
