About this place Schwule Filmwoche Freiburg e.V.
The Schwule Filmwoche Freiburg, first held in 1985, is the oldest gay film festival in Germany. Each spring (late April/May) it presents a week of international queer cinema at Freiburg's arthouse cinemas, with premieres, guest talks and community events. It is organised by a volunteer collective and is one of the anchor cultural events of the local LGBTQ+ scene.
