Hotel Motel One Freiburg

The experience I had at this hotel has shaped my entire life. FOR THE WORSE. It all started on a Friday evening when I arrived at the hotel. The reception staff seemed friendly at first, but something was off. The man behind the counter never blinked. Not once. While he was copying my ID, he quietly hummed the theme song from "Thomas the Locomotive" backward. When I asked for my room key, he wordlessly handed me a raw potato. Written on it in marker were: "Room 406." The elevator only worked if you coughed and whispered the number 4 three times simultaneously. Once upstairs, I noticed that the hallway was much longer than the building plan indicated. I walked straight ahead for about ten minutes, past identical paintings of a sad dolphin wearing a top hat. Outside room 406, a goat sat on a barstool, chewing on a remote control. She nodded respectfully at me. In the room itself, everything seemed normal at first. Except for the fact that the window overlooked another room, in which I myself was standing, also looking out the window. The other me waved to me and wrote on the pane with lipstick: "Whatever you do, don't take the free breakfast egg." Of course, I took the breakfast egg the next morning. The waiter brought it to me on a silver tray, accompanied by three violinists who apparently could only play a single note. The egg was warm. Too warm. When I opened it, there was a small note inside that read: "You now know too much." Suddenly, all the guests began to stand up at once. No one spoke. Everyone slowly turned to me. An older woman raised her orange juice and said in a deep, masculine voice: "He took the egg." Then the power went out. When the lights came back on, the hotel had vanished, and I was sitting alone on a bus to Wuppertal. Even today, I sometimes find small hotel soaps in my jacket pocket, although I throw them away immediately. And every time, I hear that goat coughing in the hallway at night.

Perfect for visiting Freiburg! Comfortable, quiet, and a decent breakfast.

We stayed at this motel for 5 days and highly recommend it. Room: Excellent Service: Excellent Cleanliness: Excellent Breakfast: Excellent We felt very comfortable all around.

The service was as good as usual, and the rooms were clean. The bar was very busy in the evening.
