What can I say? It's cold, you fancy a beer with one or more friends? Then come on in, the fireplace is waiting for you... you'll warm up and the atmosphere is relaxed. Perfect.

Quaint pub for eating snails.

I went there for the sing-along and it was great. Unfortunately, there were only two staff members behind the bar (I know they're hard to find), which meant the orders took a bit longer (hence the one-star deduction for service). I don't know if Mathilde Bar has a kitchen; no food was offered that evening. I found the atmosphere very charming.

A great place to unwind and enjoy a drink (non-alcoholic options available, of course) in peace. The service is very friendly and attentive, not just going through the motions.

Not recommended – disappointing visit The atmosphere at Matilde Bar was unfortunately uninviting. The banquette looked very worn, even cracked in places, and generally neglected. The restroom wasn't clean during my visit, which further worsened the overall impression. The drink selection was average, nothing special. The service also left much to be desired – in particular, one short-haired, older employee seemed unhelpful and rather unfriendly. Overall, not a place I would visit again. Cleanliness and hospitality urgently need improvement.
