However, a recurring complaint is about the music selection, with some finding it terrible and lacking taste.

Marlene Bar & Stage is a gay bar and performance space on Prinzenstraße in Hannover, a street known for its LGBTQ+ spots.
You come here for a drink, sure, but also for whatever's happening on stage. Most German gay bars have a fairly casual, low-key vibe, and Marlene fits that mold while still putting on a show. They book local acts and keep the entertainment calendar varied, so it’s worth checking their site or calling ahead to see what’s on.
Hannover’s LGBTQ+ scene runs the gamut, from quiet drinks to full-on performances. Marlene tries to do both, and it’s a dedicated queer space in Lower Saxony’s capital. Find their schedule and hours at marlene-hannover.de. It's easy to get to, right in the city center.

Very good location
A great location, a nice and friendly team, delicious food and drinks (reasonably priced, but tastes fantastic). It was a very nice evening, and we'll definitely be looking there more often for events. I highly recommend the Marlene Bar.
Very well-known in Hanover, an institution. You can party here until the morning; a great location in the basement. With a bar and stage, friendly staff.
We were invited there for a private birthday party and felt comfortable in the premises and with the friendly service.
A lovely evening with "Talisman". How wonderful that this venue still exists! Cozy atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, good food. Well worth it.
