About this place Kraftwerk Bistro

Kraftwerk Bistro, on Thalkirchner Straße, is a big, modern café that's become a go-to spot for Munich's gay community and their friends.

It's on a corner, so you get good views of the street, and it feels easy to walk into when you're exploring the area. The vibe is a good mix of casual and stylish. You could spend an afternoon here, whether you're after brunch, coffee, dinner, or just cocktails.

They do Mediterranean food, but also some more international dishes, so there's enough choice for a light bite or something heavier. And there's free WiFi, which is handy.

When the weather's good, the outdoor seating is where you want to be. You can sit and watch the neighborhood, drink in hand. Kraftwerk has really settled into Munich's gay scene; it's where people—locals and visitors—come to meet up, or just hang out in a place where they can be themselves. It works for a solo traveler wanting to people-watch, friends meeting for brunch, or a couple looking for a relaxed spot.

we went there for a birthday and i had the asparagus soup. portion small, temperature cold, the promised bread croutons were more like bread crumbs, the taste wasn’t available. the side of veggies and rosemary potatoes was sad as well. i also got food poisoning the day after. not to recommend. however, nice view

Perfect for a nice lunch. I'd love to come back again.

I ordered a table in advance (about 5 days in advance) and asked for a table by the window in the message. I received confirmation. When I arrived, it turned out that the place was not fixed, my friend came later and when she indicated the name of the person for whom the table was reserved, she was seated at an empty table, we almost sat at different tables. The waiters immediately asked if we wanted to order, we asked to give them some time to familiarize themselves with the menu and then we waited for a long time... they called several times. We ordered different cocktails, but they were not good for both of us, so they brought us different ones. The food is delicious and the portions are sufficient. But there was no salt or pepper on the tables... We expected there to be a photo zone with a nice view, but everything was covered with furniture with price tags..
