Carat Hotel & Apartments is a mainstream hotel at Lindwurmstraße 13, just south-west of Sendlinger Tor in central Munich. It's gay-friendly rather than gay, but the location is close to the Glockenbachviertel and Gärtnerplatz bars, the heart of Munich's gay scene, within a few minutes' walk. The modern rooms, suites and apartments have private bathrooms, a minibar and free Wi-Fi, and they face either the courtyard or a park. Breakfast is a large buffet. The hotel also rents day rooms, useful if you arrive on an early flight or are leaving after a long night out. Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn station is right there, with direct lines to the Hauptbahnhof and Marienplatz.
