About this place Hotel Cocoon Munich

Hotel Cocoon Munich is a gay-friendly spot in Bavaria's capital, putting you right where you want to be for Munich's LGBTQ+ nightlife. You can walk to the city's main gay venues—Kraft gay cafe and CAMP gay cruise club among them—all of them packed around Sendlinger Tor station. No fumbling with late-night public transport here. The hotel's rooms have a fabulous 70s retro vibe, which means they feel both nostalgic and current. You get a balcony, a minibar, a flat screen TV, a DVD player, an iPod docking station, and free WiFi. There’s a lobby bar for a pre-game drink or a nightcap, plus a 24-hour front desk if you need local tips or anything else. Cocoon Munich is a good deal for travelers who want to be in the middle of the gay district without spending a fortune. It's a comfortable, stylish base, whether you're there for the clubs, the culture, or just to crash somewhere gay-welcoming.

Perfect location next to Munich's main train station. Very clean. Very reasonably priced for this location. Friendly and helpful staff.

The Cocoon Hotel Munich Central Station completely won us over. Super friendly staff, complimentary water, and a great breakfast selection ensured a pleasant stay. The rooms are nicely furnished, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace was especially lovely. The hotel's location is also incredibly close to the main train station – perfect for a relaxed arrival and exploring Munich. Highly recommended!

A highly recommended option for a weekend in Munich. The location is fantastic, and the hotel is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Everything is clean, and the breakfast is superb. The lovely garden is perfect for relaxing. The only downside is the frequent staff turnover at reception, which can be a bit distant. A more personal and welcoming approach would better suit the hotel's design concept, which is based on Alpine tradition and a cozy atmosphere.

A fantastic hotel near the train station. Perfect for our short trip to Munich. The staff is so friendly and the rooms/hotel are so tastefully decorated; you feel like you're in an alpine chalet.

Unfortunately, our stay at the hotel was significantly marred by organizational problems upon arrival. Upon our late arrival, we encountered difficulties with the night check-in, initially preventing us from accessing our room. We were then sent to an already occupied room, creating an unpleasant and stressful situation in the middle of the night. After a long wait, we had to contact the night service again to obtain an alternative room. For the first night, we were not given the room category we had booked, but rather a makeshift room. The following day, another room change was necessary, resulting in further organizational effort. The originally booked room was not yet ready, causing further delays. Overall, this resulted in several unnecessary interruptions and waiting times despite our fully booked stay. On a positive note, the staff in the morning were friendly and helpful, attempting to resolve the situation as best as possible. The room we eventually received was clean and tidy. Breakfast was adequate, but in our opinion, at almost €22, far too expensive. We found the subsequent handling of our complaint unsatisfactory. While the problems were acknowledged, the offered compensation of €15 was, in our opinion, disproportionate to the situation. Overall, our stay did not meet our expectations for a smooth hotel experience, and we would not choose this hotel again.

Many thanks to Felix, Bassem, Angie, Masha, and Vanessa. It's a very welcoming, family-like atmosphere here. I feel very comfortable. The service is simply fantastic. Everyone is very helpful, attentive, and respectful. The lobby has a unique design, and the rooms are very comfortable. I'll definitely be back.
