What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's friendly and helpful staff, clean and cozy rooms, and good breakfast. However, common complaints include the inconvenient location relative to the city center, small room sizes, and a lack of wardrobes. Some guests also found the parking to be expensive and the check-in process slow.

About this place Hotel Bristol Munich

Hotel Bristol Munich is a cheap, no-frills launchpad for LGBTQ+ travelers. You're steps from the Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn, meaning Munich’s main gay bars, restaurants, and cafés are a short walk away. Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Marienplatz are under ten minutes from the front door.

The rooms themselves are simple: wood furniture, a flat-screen cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. You get what you need, nothing extra.

Breakfast is a buffet, served daily in its own room. There’s also an in-house restaurant for international dishes, if you’re too tired to leave.

A lounge, a tour desk to help with your plans, and a business center round out the amenities. The Bristol doesn’t pretend to be fancy. It’s a practical, welcoming spot in a good location, whether you’re there for Pride, the nightlife, or just the beer gardens.

The check-in experience is terrible because it simply takes too long.

The parking situation is awful. I've never slept so badly in my life. Why is there such a huge gap between the curtain and the wall, so the entire room is completely illuminated all night long??? The location isn't great either.

Premium rooms (24m²) offer ample space. The hotel appears new and well-maintained, not worn down. For tourists in Munich, its location is somewhat inconvenient, situated between two rather distant subway stations and quite a distance from the city center. Aside from one staff member who had some communication difficulties, the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good for the small surcharge, though nothing exceptional was to be expected. Parking is free in the side streets, and if necessary, you can drive to the nearest park-and-ride lot with subway access. Parking there costs €1.50 per day. International clientele.

We spent two nights in Munich and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though a wardrobe would be a welcome addition for a longer stay. Breakfast was varied and the welcome was warm. You might need a little patience at the bar, but the cocktails are delicious. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the Olympic Park and with plenty of bus, tram, and subway lines for getting around Munich.
