What reviewers say

Visitors praise Sub for its very cheap drinks due to volunteer staff and its welcoming atmosphere for the LGBTQIAP+ community, with some finding it a safe space and helpful for integrating into Munich. However, some reviews suggest it is primarily geared towards cisgender gay men, and one reviewer found the legal advice ineffective, while another found karaoke nights on weekends to be a negative experience.

If you're an LGBT person visiting as a tourist, it might be worth coming because people speak English. However, it's very much geared towards cisgender gay men. But everyone is very nice 💜 It's a non-profit organization, so drinks are extremely cheap.

There's no food there, so I can't comment on that aspect. It's a meeting place for queer people.

Every first and third Sunday of the month, the sub opens at 3:00 PM. Coffee and cake are available (while supplies last). The volunteer work behind the bar is a lot of fun and ensures low drink prices and daily evening opening hours. There are a few sweet and savory snacks and the Sunday cake 🍰. However, the drinks menu is very extensive, especially on evenings when long drinks are also mixed 🍸.
