NEMA Design Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

Excellent facilities, elegant, minimal, colors in harmony with the environment. Everything aims at the relaxation of the guest. The type of room that we stayed in for the second consecutive year (loft suite with outdoor jacuzzi) is perhaps one of the most beautiful choices. In the public areas, the swimming pool is the protagonist. However, in addition to the wonderful infrastructure, the great highlight of the hotel is its staff. The willingness, the smile, the kindness that characterizes its people, far from any pretentiousness, is a key asset for NEMA and its top-notch services. I can only recommend it unreservedly.

The rooms are comfortable, the facilities are excellent, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and elegant. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, the spa, and the quality of the food throughout our stay. What truly made the difference was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to Liana, who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Her kindness, dedication, and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. We left with wonderful memories and would not hesitate to return in the future. Hotel facing the sea, lovely staff, number one service, recommended for couples, I will definitely go back there The rooms are not very large but adequate and comfortable

I travel very frequently and regularly stay in high-priced 5-star hotels. Therefore, I'm not rating this hotel by its star rating, but by the actual experience it offered. First, the positive aspects: The staff are consistently friendly, dedicated, and professional. The architecture and design of the complex are also modern and visually appealing. Unfortunately, that's where the positive impression ends for me. The hotel charges high-end prices for Crete, and for that price, I expect a truly luxurious experience. Instead, I often had the impression that design was prioritized over comfort and functionality. The toilet paper and minibar are particularly noteworthy: two-ply toilet paper and a minibar containing only one bottle of water—the basics are simply not up to standard. The privacy screens between the private pools consist of decorative wooden posts spaced far apart. While this looks nice, it severely limits the desired privacy of a private pool. In addition, the private pool area is almost entirely in shadow from late morning onwards, severely limiting its use. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. Some of the cold cuts appeared to be dried out, the scrambled eggs tasted more like cheap powdered eggs than fresh eggs, the overall selection was disappointing for a hotel in this price range, and even the coffee was sometimes only lukewarm. We ordered room service for €50. What was delivered was essentially the same breakfast that was already included in the booked buffet. There was no discernible added value. Further points of criticism: * Occasional unpleasant sewage odor in the bathroom * No proactive service at the pool * Despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, there was repeated knocking * Daily noise from pressure washers and cleaning work between late morning and early afternoon * Additional construction noise from demolition and building work on the neighboring property directly adjacent to the most expensive room categories My conclusion: The hotel successfully markets itself as a luxury design hotel. In practice, however, many details that define a true luxury hotel were missing. Those who value beautiful architecture and modern design will likely feel at home here. But those with prior experience at high-end luxury resorts will probably wonder where the considerable price premium was actually invested. The staff deserves high praise. Unfortunately, the concept and the value for money failed to convince me.

We stayed at this hotel as a couple in early May and had a wonderful time. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, our luggage was taken directly to our room, and we were able to settle in with a welcome drink. We spent our first evening relaxing at the bar. The hotel is in a quiet location and has a very modern and well-maintained feel. The rooms are beautifully designed and offer everything you need. The staff deserves special mention; they were consistently friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. While the selection isn't as extensive as in some large resorts, it feels carefully curated and of high quality. The pool area is perfect for relaxing, and the beach is lovely – although a bit rocky in places, so water shoes are recommended. All in all, it was a truly wonderful vacation that we will cherish.

A very nice hotel with high-end amenities; however, we encountered a few unpleasant surprises during our stay in May. We booked rooms with a pool, but these were only heated until May 15th. Our stay from May 13th to 17th was therefore somewhat disappointing, as we paid more for a pool that was unusable for half of our stay without prior notification.

So far during my stay at NEMA, all of the staff have been fantastic – they genuinely can’t do enough for you. Everyone has been so kind, friendly and accommodating. In particular, Sabbeeh went out of his way to help me. Not only did he arrange a taxi for me after 1am, but he also took the time to explain what to expect while I was out at that time of night, the best way to get back safely, and even told me that if I had any problems at all while out, I could call him at reception. He also offered me iced tea and snacks while I was waiting. He is an incredibly kind, personable and accommodating man, and it’s people like Sabbeeh who make this place feel truly special.

Private pool in the room... A dream come true!

NEMA hotel has been fabulous. The staff here have been so accommodating and friendly, it’s made our trip here much more enjoyable. Really recommend this hotel, the rooms were lovely and clean, the pool was an extra touch of luxury. I’m obsessed with their welcome drink, very refreshing and delicious. NEMA is probably the best hotel in the area!
