Very nice, quiet in the mountains. Good if you want to go hiking. Otherwise like us just to relax. Susanna who is the owner is German and super nice. Her dog is also very nice if you want to stroke the dog. We were there 2 days and had bought food to cook on site. But breakfast was included with us and she cooked us a very good breakfast. Self-baked bread with cheese, eggs and own made different types of jam and yogurt with fruits. It is good to mention that it is good to get there before it gets dark, odd for the first time - because otherwise we would have had difficulty finding the way in the dark. She gave tips to rent an SUV car and that was good because the road is not very good.
One of the best expierences! It was good feeling and atmosphere sourended by the nature
We stayed at Villa Anthia for a week. Our stay at Omythos was simply perfect. The room was beautiful, spacious, and perfectly equipped. Susanne, the hostess, is truly friendly and helpful. The fresh, homemade breakfast served daily was a dream. The location is also stunning. The view is beautiful both day and night. My only complaint is that the driveway is a bit challenging. However, we had already checked beforehand, and Susanne also pointed out, that the access road is a gravel road. But after driving a few times, you get used to it.
Villa ANTHIA was the perfect place for our two-week stay in Crete. The view was absolutely stunning – seeing the sea in the distance while being surrounded by mountains made us feel like we were in a little paradise. Susanne, our host, was simply wonderful. She made both my partner and me feel completely at home and spoiled us with her delicious desserts, Sfakiani pita, a traditional Cretan treat that quickly became our favorite. Omythos Studios is the kind of place that stays with you and makes you miss Crete the moment you leave.
We recently spent two weeks at this villa and found the experience to be unique. Going in, we had pretty standard expectations, just the usual routine getaway. However, what truly stood out was how warm and welcoming the host, Susanne, was. We were able to bond with her in a way that made our stay feel more like visiting a friend’s home rather than just renting a place. The location is quiet and beautiful. You get a wide sea view during the day, and at night you can see the Milky Way (almost no light pollution). One piece of advice: the road leading up to the villa can seem a bit challenging at first. We managed it in a small Toyota Aygo, so you definitely don’t need a 4x4. Just make sure to follow the owner’s directions and not rely on Google Maps, which might lead you down a more difficult route. Once you get used to it, it’s fine.
Our second stay at O'MYTHOS was simply wonderful. The hostess once again lovingly provided us with a very generous and delicious breakfast. The villas are superbly equipped and simply perfect for relaxing. We'd love to come back again next year!
