About the event

Samtökin '78 now offers monthly meetups for queer people involved in polyamorous relationships, whether you are:

Considering or curious about polyamorous relationships.
Taking the first steps towards or in polyamorous relationships.
Have extensive experience and understanding of polyamory that you wish to share.

Ástrós Erla, Margrét, and Alexander, counselors at Samtökin '78, lead the meetups and the discussions that take place each time. Their goal is to create a space where polyamorous people can find support, receive advice, and build connections with others within the queer community who have similar experiences and interests.
Group Goals: To create a safe and warm space where you can share your experiences and insights. We want to foster a polyamorous community and share tools with each other that can help with challenges such as jealousy, trust, time management, and societal prejudice.

It can be a big step to attend or try something new, so we want to remind you that:

You are heartily welcome as you are. This group celebrates diversity and you don't have to be anything other than yourself.
You are not alone. There are many here who share similar feelings, challenges, and experiences and want to connect and support each other.
You control your participation. There is nothing that requires you to speak if you are not ready. Listening is also an invaluable contribution.
A safe space in confidence.
