Gorgeous hotel, nearer to the train station ( in between the city centre and station) . Basically amenities in the bathroom (excluding toothbrush/toothpaste). There's kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a portable fan. No fridge but that's ok. Price is reasonable

We loved the Metropole Hotel. We’ve been in Ireland and Scotland for 10 days and the most memorable hotel we’ve stayed at on our trip has been the metropole and we were only there one night! The staff is so incredibly friendly, helpful, and just so kind. They gave us directions, local recommendations, transportation recommendations, and also set up our room nicely for us. The view from our room was incredible and the location of the hotel is so close to the city center. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary of marriage and they decorated our room for us and wrote us a thoughtful note that we’ll cherish forever. We loved this place and look forward to one day coming back. I can’t wait to tell all our friends and family about how wonderful this place is!

Right in the thick of downtown Cork close to great restaurants and pubs. Excellent staff & fine restaurants in the hotel. Lovely art throughout & many art coffee table books.

For the price I paid, the room was very small and stuffy. Plumbing needs to be upgraded.
