Visitors frequently praise the hotel's elegant ambiance, central location, and the helpfulness of the staff, with particular mentions of excellent bar service and accommodating chefs. Visited the hotel today for lunch with my mum, disappointed to see the chicken supreme was off the menu however when we mentioned this to the waiter he immediately went to the chef who very kindly said he would make it for us. The waiter’s name was Edmunz from Brazil, he was so kind and polite to us and went out of his way to make sure we were happy 🙏 The food is incredible and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. We have never left disappointed and look forward to our next visit already.

The Imperial is an old style hotel but has retained its lustre and offers a great stay in the centre of cork. My room was a little cold but I worked out how to add some heat with the AC unit and there was only one small window. At £260 per night for two nights and a ‘premier’ double I thought it might be better appointed. Two highlights are the beautifully refurbished Fitzgeralds Bar which is wonderfully opulent and the great tea/coffee cafe called Lafayettes which is equally opulent, table service, old fashioned tea and cake venue just inside the hotel entrance. All staff have been wonderful

I recently visited The Imperial Hotel for afternoon tea. The hotel and restaurant itself are beautiful, and the ambiance is lovely. The service during our afternoon tea was excellent, the staff were polite and very professional. Unfortunately, the savory selection was disappointing. The sandwiches were very small, quite bland, and the bread didn't taste fresh. Because of the food quality and portion sizes, it didn't feel like good value for money. The setting and hospitality are wonderful, but the food needs improvement.
