Cork Pride
About This Event
Cork Pride takes place over the August bank holiday weekend. The company that ran it for years, Cork LGBT+ Pride CLG, went into liquidation in November 2025 after High Court costs from a dispute with a former employee. A volunteer group, Cork Community Pride, formed in February 2026 and took it over with a smaller programme that avoids big corporate sponsors.
In 2026 the Pride Family Picnic was in Fitzgerald's Park on Saturday 1 August, and on Sunday 2 August the parade gathered on Grand Parade from 1pm, on a new loop route that started and finished on Grand Parade. It's free and open to everyone. Cork held its first Gay Pride Week in 1981, the same year it hosted Ireland's first National Gay Conference.
The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked. The bank holiday weekend is the usual slot; watch corkcommunitypride.ie for confirmation.
