Join us for a very special edition of the GAZE x Outhouse: Queer Film Club! We’re screening The Irish for Sex (2024), a witty, thought-provoking documentary exploring language, sexuality, and the words we use to describe ourselves. After the screening, we’ll be joined by comedian, queer woman, and star of the documentary, Bláithín de Burca, for a live conversation exploring the making of the documentary, the intersection of queerness, womanhood, and the Irish language, and the stories behind this unique project. Whether you’re fluent in Irish, have a cúpla focal, or completely new to the language, everyone is welcome. The film will be screened with English subtitles, and the discussion will be in both Irish and English.
